2020 FirstGen Grad Stole Contest – OFFICIAL RULES – May 2020
First Gen grads,
We want to celebrate you! Share your first gen journey, or tell us what graduation means to you. Send in your story, essay, poem, painting, photography, video, or mixed-media.
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER.
INTERNET ACCESS IS REQUIRED TO ENTER
CONTEST TIMING
Entry Period: Begins Friday, May 22 and ends on Monday, June 29 at 5 pm (PST). **DEADLINE EXTENDED**
- Selection: The FirstGen social media team will select up to three first-place winners.
- Winner Announcement: Noon on Tuesday, July 7 on the UCDavisFirstGen Instagram account
HOW TO ENTER: To enter, entrant must submit your art, photo, story, and/or video via email to firstgenucdavis@ucdavis.edu during the entry period.
Photos must be the original work of the entrant and may not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, publicity rights, ownership or any other legal or moral rights of any third party.
Students are encouraged to submit entries consistent with the Principles of Community. Entries depicting or containing illegal activity will not be considered.
WINNER SELECTION: The FirstGen social media team will vote to select the winner.
PRIZES:
- Grand Prize Winner: a UC Davis FirstGen grad stole
- Approximate retail value is $45
- Up to three winners will be selected
- Honorsable Mention: FirstGen Grad t-shirt
- Approximate retail value is $15
ELIGIBILITY: This contest is open to all current UC Davis students expecting to graduate in June 2020. Employees of the Office of Undergraduate Education and any and all other companies associated with the Contest (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”), and each of their immediate family members are not eligible to participate. Eligibility rules are subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
All entries submitted become the property of UC Davis, and by participating you agree that UC Davis may use your submitted photo/video and post content for marketing and advertising purposes.
Odds of winning depending on number of entrants, inquiries about number of entrants and odds may be directed to scknox@ucdavis.edu .This information will remain available for three months after the contest closes.
UC Davis may cancel this contest in the event of technical problems or electronic attacks affecting the administration of the offer. Any contest entrant found to intentionally interfere with the operation of the offer will be disqualified. UC Davis retains the right to hide or delete entries on the UC Davis Facebook page, if found in violation of UC Davis policies, or for any other reason at UC Davis’ sole discretion. UC Davis is not responsible for lost, damaged, delayed or misdirected prizes. UC Davis is not responsible for lost or misdirected sweepstakes entries. Prize(s) may not be redeemed for cash.
